I’m a list maker.
If I don’t write it down, it probably won’t get done.
That’s mostly because I’m a weird combination of OCD and ADHD. I need things organized and in order because I easily get distracted by anything and everything. (Especially if it’s pretty or shiny).
As many of you know, when it comes to my list of to-do’s and tasks, I prefer to embrace the “ta-das, and relish in the ones I actually DO accomplish rather than beating myself up over the ones I didn’t. (I’ll just move those to tomorrow. Lol!)
But honestly, there are things we need to NOT do:
- Let’s NOT measure our worth by someone else’s opinion of us.
- Let’s NOT carry the weight
- of what other people think we should do or be.
- Let’s NOT be quick to judge, because truthfully, we probably don’t know the whole story.
- Let’s NOT compare ourselves to anyone else,
- nor apologize
- for taking a breather when we’ve had enough.
- Let’s not be in such a hurry, we miss our blessings.
- Let’s NOT let the voice in our head drown out our gratitude.
Instead, let’s plan today
to make a way to smile to a stranger,
to slow down a bit,
to actually taste our food when we eat it,
to spend some time outside.
What are some things on your “Stop doing” list?
